The Hafencity between Speicherstadt and the river Elbe is one of the biggest construction projects in Europe. Half of it has been finalised more or less. In 2016 the long-desired Concerthall “Elbphilhamonie” has been inaugurated (with a delay of 6 years and some millions surcharge). However, Hamburg is very proud and invites the world to enjoy the extraordinary sound and impressive architecture. On this walking tour around the so-called „Elphi“ you will get to know more about the project’s significance and about the continually growing new quarter. Finally, you can enter the Elbphilhamonie’s panoramic terrace “PLAZA” on your own (free of charge). The guide will prepare you and explain, before you go up. Free Plaza-Tickets have to be picked up before the tour at the Info-Center.
