Tourist Tax & how to avoid it as a group
In some cities a so-called ‘culture tax’ (accommodation tax) is charged. The tax is either based on the net sum paid by each person per night or is simply a sum added to your overnight stay. Please find the general information on each city tax below (in country’s original language only). Groups traveling with an educational purpose and guests with professional travel backgrounds are exempted from this tax (except in Amsterdam, Graz). To receive this exemption, please fill out the respective forms.
